The new exhibition, Expressions of Hope, will run from September 10, 2024 – November 16, 2024
Charlotte, NC – SouthEnd ARTS, a champion of justice, racial equity, and cultural diversity through the arts, announces its upcoming art exhibition at Myers Park United Methodist Church’s newly constructed facility at 1501 Queens Road. This exhibition will showcase the extraordinary works of 20 diverse local artists, each with unique perspectives that promise to captivate and inspire.
The ‘Expressions of Hope’ exhibition will kick off with opening night festivities on September 10, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. This event will mark the beginning of a three-month exhibition that will not only captivate and inspire but also celebrate the transformative power of art, reminding us of its ability to bring about positive change.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Myers Park Church and present this exceptional exhibition,” said K.Liles, founder and volunteer executive director at SouthEnd ARTS. “This partnership allows us to promote justice, racial equity, and cultural diversity through the artists’ unique perspectives, fostering community engagement and dialogue.”
As visitors explore the artwork, they will be treated to a sensory-rich experience that promotes the strength and diversity of the local arts scene. This convergence of multiple artistic disciplines will allow guests to see beautifully striking visual works of art and a provoking documentary.
SouthEnd ARTS’ goal is to create an inclusive space where everyone in the community, regardless of their background or experience with art, can connect with it intimately. Through this exhibition, the organization, in partnership with Myers Park Church, will highlight the talents of some of our city’s artists and provide them with a platform to share their personal stories, visions, and aspirations, making everyone feel valued and included.
