Plus Academy CHARLOTTE Hosts Grand Finale and Industry Mixer
Fashionable and Fabulous Fun for the Full-Figured Woman
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (November 12, 2010) – The country’s leading training and development academy for plus sized women will hold an industry mixer and grand finale extravaganza on November 20, 2010 at Spirit Square (345 N. College St.) in Uptown Charlotte to commemorate Plus Academy CHARLOTTE’s successful fall 2010 semester. The event will celebrate the accomplishments of the fabulous ladies from Plus Academy CHARLOTTE’s inaugural session in true elegance and style, complete with live performances, a trunk show and an art showcase. The event begins at 2:00 p.m. and is open to the public; however, RSVPs are strongly encouraged.
The Plus Academy CHARLOTTE provides aspiring full-figured models with hands-on experience to kick start their modeling careers and learn the business of modeling from the ground up. A team of 12 top professionals experienced in the plus size modeling market conduct classes and workshops to assist in helping models take their careers to the next level. Tiffany “Tip” Jones, most recognized for her appearance as a finalist on Mo’Nique’s F.A.T. Chance (The Oxygen Network) during its second season, is the Director of Plus Academy CHARLOTTE and facilitates day to day operations at the academy.
This spectacular showcase of artistic expression will include a live musical performance by soul vocalist ELIAH (http://www.eliahkeaton.com ), and Harold Logan will perform selected pieces from his poetry collection. Decadent desserts will be provided by The Dessert Specialist who is Plus Academy CHARLOTTE’s Official Chocolatier. One of the highlights of the evening will be a stylish trunk show by Atlanta-based fashion retailer Plush Boutique (www.plushboutique.net). Hosted by Tip Jones and motivational speaker Tanesha Dixon, guests can expect a celebratory afternoon of fashion, music and networking.
