“Life is love” is the constant statement of “Life Lyrics & Laughter “founder Addul El Ali. “ We want to give people an entertainment experience that gives inspiration, information and relaxation while raising awareness and funds for local charities that are doing great work right here in the Queen City. “ Life Lyrics & Laughter comes to Charlotte on May 26th 2011 and features world class talent from the Queen City and beyond. Life Lyrics & Laughter will be hosted by film, stage and T.V. star Erica Watson who appeared in films like “Precious” and “Dirty Laundry”, as well as on “Celebrity 411” on TV Guide Network, the BET Awards, “Dr. Phil” and more. There will be performances from Charlotte funnyman Prince Paul of Tone X and Friends fame, rising music icon Ida Divine, international recording artist Rkitech and a very special performance from Keith Murray, famous for his classic remixes with P Diddy & Mary J Blige as well as his own multiplatinum hip hop albums. The funds from this event are going to benefit Positive Youth Transformation (www.supportpyt.com) a local organization that mentors, tutors, and develops leadership skills with at risk youth in Charlotte. “We hope to give P.Y.T. a great opportunity to be seen and supported by Charlotte” says Addul. “As a child that grew with a drug addicted mother and an abusive father I spent most of my childhood separated from siblings and in foster homes, group homes and juvenile detention, I want to give P.Y.T. as much support in helping the children in the same situation I was in.” There will be free give-aways, raffles, a very special Life Lyrics & Laughter CD as well as an after show mixer in NODA at the new Red@28th where people can meet the stars of the show.
