The HBCU will celebrate its strong history of excellence and proud traditions
ROCK HILL, SC – Clinton College will celebrate its 2017 Homecoming festivities November 6 – 12. Distinguished alumni, students, faculty, staff and the community at large are expected to attend Clinton’s week-long celebration. Established in 1894 by the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, Clinton College is a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) located at 1029 Crawford Road in the quaint city of Rock Hill, just 25 minutes from Uptown Charlotte.
The schedule of events includes the following:
- Clinton College Press Conference (Monday, November 6, 11:00 a.m. Library Conference Room)
- Homecoming Kick Off Cookout (Monday, November 6, 12:00 p.m., Front Lawn, Free Admission)
- Rock The Runway Fashion Show (Tuesday, November 7, 7:00 – 10:00 p.m., Library Gallery, $5 Admission)
- Partner Luncheon (Wednesday, November 8, 11:30 a.m., Holiday Inn Rock Hill)
- Pep Rally featuring Harding High School Drumline (Thursday, November 9, 12:00 p.m., Gymnasium, Free Admission)
- Alumni Class Visits (Thursday, November 9, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Classrooms)
- Block Party hosted by Emmy – Award Winning Spoken Word Artist Boris “Bluz” Rogers (Friday, November 10, 3:00 – 7:00 p.m., Front Lawn – Crawford Road, Free and open to the public)
- Clinton College Alumni Cabaret (Friday, November 10, 9:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m., Holiday Inn Rock Hill, $20 Adv. $25 Door)
- National Alumni Association Breakfast Meeting (Saturday, November 11, 9:00 – 10:30 a.m., Holiday Inn Rock Hill, Complimentary Admission for Alumni)
- Alumni Basketball Game (Saturday, November 11, 12:00 p.m., Gymnasium)
