CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Three, two, one– say RED! The countdown has begun and fundraising is underway. The Red Pump Project – Charlotte will be hosting “Say RED: Cocktails and Conversations” on April 7, 2010 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Tutto Mondo Lounge.
This intimate night of cocktails and candid conversations about issues surrounding HIV/AIDS in our communities is aimed at getting the public pumped about joining the fight against this disease. Complimentary appetizers and drink specials – like a signature “Red Pump” beverage, will be served throughout the evening. There will be several chances to win prizes, so don’t forget to bring your business cards to enter raffles, and to take advantage of networking opportunities.
“We are pleased with the momentum the Red Pump Project – Charlotte has gained over the last several months,” says Brittani Menina, Red Pump Ambassador for the Greater Charlotte Metropolitan area. “Our focus is to heighten awareness about HIV/AIDS by continually hosting events and being actively involved in community projects geared toward the disease.”
Guests are encouraged to wear red ties and red pumps to show support for HIV/AIDS and to coincide with the evening’s theme. Proceeds from this event will support Team Red Pump and the Regional AIDS Interfaith Network (RAIN) at the upcoming Charlotte AIDS Walk on May 1.
