Charlotte, NC – Healthy Relationship Activist, Author and Relationship Blogger, Jennifer Tardy, will be on tour from July 26 -August 1, 2010 to promote her debut book, His Ingredient Label: A Woman’s Guide to Recognizing a Junk Food Man. The tour, which will be held virtually, will make stops at a number of popular blogs, websites and other online destinations. Tardy will hold several giveaways and contests; she will also be available to answer burning relationship questions, respond to reader comments and ultimately promote healthy relationships—of all types.
In His Ingredient Label, Tardy shows readers how men are like foods to which one can become addicted if you don’t control yourself. The book helps readers to recognize how one’s own decision-making can be the first step to a healthier relationship and demonstrates how to recognize the true character of a man by investigating what he is made of. This is the first volume in the Forever Tardy, but Never Late Collection.
Dorothy Lafrinere of WomensSelfEsteem.com highly recommends Tardy’s work. “His Ingredient Label is an excellent knowledge base and resource for all women, single or otherwise, in the fact that we never graduate from the school of life including relationships,” says Lafrinere “ It has been proven over time that we learn more effectively by example…let this book be your example to learn from. Awareness, preparation and knowledge have always been the keys to any successful relationship.”
Some of the scheduled stops on the virtual tour include a profile on “Another Writer’s Block” (www.onikapascal.com) with Poet/Author Onika Pascal, a video interview on “The Fresh” (www.meetthefresh,com), a contest and giveaway on www.mingleberry.com and a guest blog post on www.avenue1online.com. Starting July 26, each morning of the tour Tardy will announce her stops for day on both her Twitter (www.twitter.com/jtardy26) and Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/HisIngredientLabel) accounts. There will be opportunities to purchase (and even win) an autographed copy of His Ingredient Label: A Woman’s Guide to Recognizing a Junk Food Man and get details about Tardy’s upcoming summer release: Good Job, Great Guy: Finding & Attracting the Man of Your Dreams–the Boss’s Way. Jay spent over 17 years working in the Information Technology field. For over 15 years, Jay simultaneously worked on his catering business while he was working in corporate America. Jay catered many corporate events from 2-200, as well as weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and more. A graduate of the prestigious French Culinary Institute in New York City, Jay attained his culinary degree and began a new journey that would take him from New York City to Charlotte, North Carolina.
For more than 10 years Chef Jay has managed both front and back of the house operations. Chef Jay has managed staff from 6 to 38 people. Chef Jay’s range of cooking goes from simple cuisine to fine dining and can entice any palette in between. Jay is not known for any one particular style of cooking; the options are endless. Chef Jay enjoys sharing his knowledge of food with others. He has a weekly video show that airs to about 400k viewers, Culinary Creations with Chef Jay. In addition Jay is in the final phases of publishing his first book; In the Window with Chef Jay- Restaurant food at home; which will explore how to prepare restaurant quality dishes in the comfort of your own home.
While in New York, Chef Jay worked with several organizations with a community focus such as: Share our Strength (Childhood Hunger) and Gods Love We Deliver (Meals for the homebound). In North Carolina, Chef Jay has volunteered his services at Village at Hope Haven (Alcohol and Substance Abuse Recovery), The Salvation Army Women and Children’s Shelter (Temporary housing for homeless mothers and children). Seeing the good that these types of organizations can do in the community prompted Jay to develop his own ways to give back to the community through education and food services.
Chef Jay currently provides private chef services, culinary education classes and catering events on a large and small scale. Chef Jay is always looking to use his culinary knowledge to expand the culinary knowledge of those with whom he comes in contact.

As a former native of Hurt, Virginia, J. M. Tardy grew up like any small-town girl. Curious and insightful, she has always been very curious about the big world around her. She graduated from Gretna High School and then went on to receive both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Virginia Tech, in Blacksburg, Virginia. She currently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she works in the nuclear industry as a human resources professional. As an HR professional, her research has long been in understanding the behaviors of adults in the workplace. She also sources and attracts the best and the brightest talent. Her next goal is to further her behavioral research while attaining her Ph.D.
It wasn’t until she realized that many of the single women that she knew seemed to be asking the same relationship questions, going through the same experiences, and justifying their actions with the same reasoning that she was able to make sense out of her own life experiences. It wasn’t until recently that she even knew what her gift was: encouraging healthy relationships and healing broken hearts.
Her books stem from her personal research and the stories told by others. She wants each volume to grow as she grows and experiences new challenges in life. She knew that she had found the secret to healing a broken heart, but didn’t believe it was fair to just share this information with her girlfriends; she wants to share it with the world; and with this collection of books, she is sharing it with you.
